Soprattutto non c'è assolutamente lo spettacolo crudele al quale si assiste spesso nelle altre manifestazioni di questo tipo. I nostri "ochi" sono guidati da redini di velluto ed è assolutamente bandita ogni forma di costrizione nei loro confronti. Hanno nomi spesso pittoreschi, come il campione della mia contrada che, qualche anno fa era schumocher. Tutta l'atmosfera è particolare, e tutte le gare sono fatte per divertire la gente. Alla fine delle gare degli umani corrono gli ochi con griglia di partenza in base al punteggio ottenuto.
