A fascinating land, a castle steeped in history, a village surrounded by greenery, banners and the sound of drums, the air full of old suggestions: Soriano is back with enthusiasm to the Middle Ages, which proposes, for the entire last weekend of June in the ancient town of Soriano nel Cimino, a wonderful blast from the past.
The fortress of Soriano is filled with colors and sounds of old, the stone back distant memories now witnessed in the village glimpses of medieval life, with ladies and knights, armor, legends, stories, acrobats, jugglers and jesters. The shops of ancient crafts open their doors to curious visitors, the archers and the swordsmen are showing their skills, while dancers and music is played on street corners. At the foot of Rocca encampment of Vikings, medieval falconry and reptile.
For guests the opportunity to refresh themselves with meals tradition in the medieval tavern set up inside the castle.
To highlight all events of Falconieri Eagle, the reptile house Mirko of Snakes, the duels in the field of arms of The Sons of Asgard and the Concerto Celtic by the group Taberna Vinaria.
The Orsini Castle, evocative and colorful, as is the entire medieval village of Soriano, offers the inside market, the ancient crafts, crafts, the exhibition of weapons and ancient instruments of torture, the popular games for adults and children.
Entrance to the exhibition is free and offers the opportunity to visit Soriano nel Cimino, a place rich in history, art and beautiful scenery, surrounded by lush mountains, beech and chestnut which resounds in the quiet and silence, the echo old battles, the voice of the robbers, the ring of the trumpets, the shuffling footsteps of the horses in the undergrowth and gnashing of swords.
